SMS Terms of Service

These SMS Terms of Service apply to text message communications from Major, Morrison & David, CPAs, a Louisiana public accounting firm.

1. Purpose of SMS Communications

SMS messages are used solely for client service and administrative purposes, including appointment reminders, tax filing and compliance deadline notifications, requests for information, and engagement-related communications.

2. Consent to Receive Messages

By providing your mobile phone number and opting in, you consent to receive SMS messages from the Firm. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing professional services.

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies depending on the nature of the client engagement and communication needs.

4. Message and Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier’s terms and your service plan.

5. Opt-Out and Help

Opt-Out: You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message.

6. No Marketing or Third-Party Use

The Firm does not send unsolicited marketing messages via SMS and does not sell, rent, or share SMS data with third parties for promotional purposes.

7. Service Availability and Liability

SMS delivery may be subject to delays, errors, or failures due to carrier or technical issues. The Firm is not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.

8. Governing Law

These SMS Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

9. Changes to SMS Terms

These SMS Terms of Service may be updated periodically. Continued participation in SMS communications constitutes acceptance of any updates.
